Re: Yes, I know Google is my friend, but I'd rather ask you.
Speaking of cat food questions, mine have a tendency to eat everything in the bowl if they're hungry, and then they immediately throw it up, I assume due to an overly-full stomach. This has prevented me from trying to slim down their diets, mostly out of fear of vomit. Not that they're fat, it's jus...

Um. Yeah. Lutheran here. Recite and understand both the Apostle's and Nicene creeds and have definitely not become Catholic. Are you sure? Catholicism is a weird virus. Maybe it snuck up on you? You should probably get yourself checked. Have you found yourself accidentally hanging up crucifixes? Cr...

Hey Catholic Pwebbers, I want to go to a Catholic mass at some point, just to get a taste of what they are like. But I really don't know anything about how they work. Can random folk just show up? What do you wear? Is there a particular mass that is more visitor-friendly than others? Is is better t...

Yeah, definitely don't do that with a nice pea coat. It looks pretty freaking sweet, though. If you're serious about it, and it was a good deal, justify a dry clean.

I've been playing Assassin's Creed 3, which is mostly set in Boston and NYC, and man, now I feel bad that I only thought of Kelly, like, once.
Plus I've been learning so much about Boston. Did you know there's this hill? With a beacon on it? And they call it Beacon Hill?

Re: Currently Reading / Just Read (Books/stories/whatever)
Fine, I can contribute. So a new Dresden Files book, Cold Days , came out, what, in November? And because I am morally opposed to hardcover, or because I just own all of the rest of the books in paperback and am morally opposed to non-matching collections, I hadn't read it before Christmas despite e...

It's crazy how my endurance sneaks up on me. A year ago I could barely run a mile before almost collapsing, taking my shoes off in the elevator because I was so dang hot. A few months after I started I squeezed lifting in beforehand, and am normally still really tired, but not dead, after the mile r...

I feel weird saying this, but I have absolutely no desire to see Les Mis. None. I've seen the musical several times, and I loved it hard in my youth, and still appreciate it today but... Everytime I tell myself, "you know, you really ought to go see Les Mis in theatres..." I couldn't be l...

Being back home after a too-long vacation.
My New Year's Resolution is not to leave town this year for anyone else's reasons. I really don't care.
Missed you, too, P-Web. Browsing on mobile is too difficult for me, I guess.

Re: Things that I'm afraid of
I missed the plane last year on my first try to get to Boise.
I've ten minutes from walking to the train station, and I'm pretty scared of it happening again. It was embarrassing, but, most importantly, just plain frustrating. I hate a huge build-up with a horrible let-down.

For the record, I've been voting on a number of different IPs in the hope we could at least turn the tide. I need to make up for my mistake.
But seriously. "Why are they topless lolololol?" Stupid question, stupid answer.

Dude, that's really awesome. moot's kind of a weird hero of a lot of people.
But come on, capitalizing his name, even as a proper noun? That's just wrong.
Edit: aaaah, much better.

I hate how anxious it makes me telling people about my anxieties. It's always a relief when I finally just say "I don't feel like people right now, and I don't know when I will start to," but it's so hard to work myself to that position.

Re: Confessions of a 20-something mother
My mom let me know that they know I'm not exactly... faithful. In terms of churchiness. She did it in what I thought was a pretty tactful way, too: asking me not to take Communion at Christmas Mass. Then we both managed to joke it off, and that was that. The confession is that I greatly appreciate a...

I bought my first desktop for $150 on a Black Friday sale, and it lasted me for about two years before having to upgrade it. I consider that a huge steal, since I was in high school at the time and at the peak of my LAN party days.

It actually was in our Catholic hymnal, too. Actually probably in the... second songbook. Whatever its name is. We have two, is the point, and the second one has the Star-Spangled Banner! Normally sung at the Fourth of July, I think.
Heck if I know the third verse, though.
