I'm not sure if I should try watching it as it goes on, or watching it in large chunks as I've been doing. Season 3 started 3 (almost 4) weeks ago and that was just a 3 week mini-season. The rest of the season will start in January. You should TOTALLY watch the 3 episode mini-season.

Just watched the first few episodes of Chuck that a friend, erm, acquired for me. (To be fair, they don't show or sell it in this country)
Love it, but I'm having a hard time adjusting to a show that has both Jayne Cobb and Miranda Lawson in it. That much awesome in one place is dangerous.

Shows I'm watching this season (so far):
Fringe - I hope it doesn't go to a bad place this season. The first two seasons were really solid, the third had issues, the fourth has a very weird premise that I hope pans out soon.
How I Met Your Mother - Still in love with this show. Clever, funny, a surprisingly good sitcom.
Modern Family - ditto. Continues to be great.
Community - Hands down, the best show on TV. I love Meta.
Glee - I'm watching this solo, since Paul has given up on it. I find it fun, but it's lost so much of it's goodness from the first season. Sadly, it just got overkilled. I don't know how much of it I'll watch this season.
The Mentalist - I've never been a "watch every episode" person for this show, but last season's cliffhanger has left me dying to know what happens.
Project Runway - my guilty pleasure reality show (this may be my last season of watching, though)
Terra Nova - only watched one episode so far, we'll see how it goes.
(Watched this summer: True Blood, Game of Thrones, Doctor Who)

I thought S1 of Fringe was a bit meh, but I really like S3. The Alt-Fringe team are wonderful.
Except the LSD episode.

We just gave up on of Terra Nova, after the premier and second episode. We found it boring, predictable and with pretty bad dialogue. I had high hopes but it did not live up to the hype in the least.

I saw a commercial for Terra Nova that was poorly teamed up with a commercial for House in such a way that I got really excited and thought that Hugh Laurie was in it. I immediately lost interest, dinosaurs and all, when I realized I was mistaken. Mostly because I figure any modern TV show with dinosaurs will probably be ham-acted, poorly written, and be a (crappy) CGI-fest.

The HIMYM episode this week earned a special place in my heart. Pregnancy + Therapy storylines. I cringed a little bit during both, but I laughed far, far, far more. It was like the producers were saying, "Kirsten, this is your episode!"

Stuff I watch regularly (not all of these are currently in season):
Eureka Warehouse 13 Sanctuary Fringe Community The Office (though it has been pretty weak the past two seasons) Parks & Rec Doctor Who The Mentalist Psych NCIS Dexter Bones Mad Men True Blood Archer South Park Mythbusters Boardwalk Empire Californication Game of Thrones The Daily Show with Jon Stewart Colbert Report
I'm looking forward to tonight's premiere of Penn and Teller's new show on Discovery, too.
Also: This isn't counting the old series I'm "catching up" on with Netflix. Yeah, I watch too much TV.

I'm going to sit over here for a while and just absorb the Breaking Bad finale. I might rock back and forth a bit. Don't mind me.

Strange, I thought it was a decent episode, and it included one detail that I laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed about, but most people (my wife included) probably didn't even catch. The background music for the party at Marshall's office was Yub Nub! Which is the Ewok celebration song. It tied the two story lines together. I will say that I fit in the category of people who should love the Ewoks, and yet I don't.

I am still trying to catch up on HIMYM. It is a long, albeit funny process. Noodle wrote: I will say that I fit in the category of people who should love the Ewoks, and yet I don't. The Ewok backlash still shocks me. I wasn't around when the originals were released, but I didn't know of the hate, hate, hate until I got on the internet.

It's the therapist plotline. EVERYTHING in me was SCREAMING about that. NO. WRONG. And not just "a bad idea." Totally unethical under every freaking ethics code their is. Also, lose-your-license sort of behavior. ARGH ARGH ARGH. Otherwise, decent episode. But that just overrode a lot of it, for me.

While ignoring the previous post and warning that this will be a spoiler if you haven't watched HIMYM and would like to watch it, they better actually find Barney's doppelganger and it better be LEGEND...wait for it...DARY!

I'm normally horrible and knowing when shows are on too! Luckily, Will is really good at knowing when stuff comes on (even my shows).

What'd everybody think about The Walking Dead? My thoughts behind spoiler tags:
It really did scare me a couple of times this week. The herd of walkers going through the high way was suspenseful and very, very scary/creepy. Also, I did NOT see the end coming (the deer getting shot, with the boy behind him). I like the tension between Amy and Whatshisname (the older guy) quite a bit. I don't know how I feel about the idea of people wanting to split off from the group.
I could not watch the part where they opened up the walker to find out if it had eaten the little girl. That was too much gore for me.
Overall, looking forward to the rest of the season.
HIMYM:
Found this week's episode a bit of a disappointment. Hate, hate, hate how they're using the therapist angle with Robin's new love interest. This week, it wasn't just on an inaccuracy level, it was on an annoyance level. I WANT Robin to be happy. I WANT her to be with a good, funny, nice guy. Can we do that and manage to not make Kirsten crazy in the process? That remains to be seen.
Also, you know what? I'm tired of the pregnancy-centricness, actually. I mean, it's funny and all, it's just -- I don't know. It feels trite-ish? Like they aren't exploring or dealing with absurdly funny pregnancy things? ::shrugs::

The Walking Dead:
I absolutely loved last season, so I was scared that for some reason this season would be too different and I would hate it (I get the fear over every new season of everything). I thought it was a great opener, and actually made me jump quite a bit. The boy getting shot completely shocked me, I think I might have actually hit Will when it happened (I get violent when surprised). I hate that people are thinking of splitting off, it just seems like SUCH a bad idea! I also couldn't quit yelling at the girl for not staying put and causing all this trouble. I think the scariest moment for me was when the zombie was slowly going through the camper, and the girl (i'm horrible with names) was hiding in the bathroom. Just so much suspense!

That freaked me out like nothing else. And that look she gave what's his name when he was giving her the screwdriver was perfect. Anger and desperation and hate. It was PERFECT for what she must've been going through.

I have never hated cliff hangers more then I have with this show. I seriously can not believe I have to wait an entire week for another episode!

YES! We got to the end and I was like, "What do you MEAN that's the end?" I was in TOTAL denial. This is why I like to watch shows on Netflix after they are done. I can avoid cliffhangers.

I just starting watching Morgan Spurlock's tv show 30 Days. He or someone else immerse themselves in someone else's life for one month. It's really good. The first show was about living on minimum wage and the second is about trying to get younger/fitter with the use of steroids and HGH.

I hate that they kept pronouncing Naomi as "Nye-omi" tonight on HIMYM.
On another note, we just watched a British series called Survivors on Netflix streaming. It's only 2 seasons of six episodes each. It reminded me of The Walking Dead but without the zombies, which sounds boring but isn't! A virus wipes out 99% if the population and it's about the survivors. It's really good. The first season starts slow but the second season gets much better.

I really enjoyed Survivors and was sad it didn't get renewed for another series. Hooray, someone else has seen it! I especially loved the relationship between the little Muslim boy and the older guy (forget their names).

Yes, I loved their relationship too. Najid (Naj) and Aalim (Al) were great together. The actor that played Al had been on one of the early seasons of 24, so I recognized him immediately.
