They keep going for the big names route, not too sure I like it.
P.S. Hello everyone

Of course, a lot of us around here are finding it a little hard to accept that this movie might finally be happening.
I still don't believe it. And if it is happening, the world is just going to end before it's released. That's how the EG movie goes.
Just to clarify--you are the awesome boss-lady over at Ender's Ansible, right? I'm Shannon, by the way, one of the ones attempting to get Pweb back to having content in addition to our wonderful forum.

Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.

Yes, that's me!
Craig: Nope, haven't seen True Grit yet... that's the first thing I'm doing after finals... ok second thing after sleep! I haven't heard a single negative thing about her so I'm hopeful.
spanish_rockette: I too imagined her darker in skintone, but I don't mind really.

Now that finals are over I'm going to watch our potential Petra in True Grit. Like now, like really right now. I'll let you know how I like it.

I've never seen nor heard of Hailee Steinfeld in my life, but a quick search on Google Images shows that she's exactly as I'd imagined Petra. I'm trying not to get excited. I shall not get excited.

I feel like they should switch the actor playing Petra with the actor playing Valentine. It seems more fitting to me.
That's what I thought too!

I disagree, I think she'll make a great Petra. This is the best casting move so far imo.
I'm not sure about Breslin as Val, but I am all kinds of on board with the Petra casting.
