Staple of my diet growing up (I got one in my lunch every day), what was your favorite?

I went with Nutty Bars but I also loved Oatmeal Cream Pies and Star Crunch. I haven't had these in years since they are so bad for you. Have they changed their ingredients lately to make them any better?
btw, my husband, who grew up in California, never had any of these. His mom bought them the "real" stuff like twinkies and hohos, etc. Silly.

Luet, I know it's Hostess, and not Little Debbie, but I made homemade Ring Dings from scratch for my father's birthday this year--in part because the ingredients in these deliciously addictive snack cakes are just as chemical as ever.
(I voted oatmeal cream pies, all the way).

you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

Hey Spark! Another nutty bar fan! Did you eat them normal or peel away layers of the wafers? I went back and forth. If I was home and could get messy, I would peel. At school and elsewhere, I would just eat the bars.

I love the strawberry jam filled timbits. Actually, I love all of them except the plain ones.
