Re: Questions you've wondered about your fellow pwebbers
Oh my goodness. We moved in December 12, 2009. So 2 and 1/2 years now. It feels so much longer! This is the longest I've ever lived in the same place, not counting my childhood home. It seemss though I changed apartments every year in New York.
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells

I'll slug it out

and I can

"Season" and "seize-in" sound the same in my Californian accent! What's the difference? haha

Yeah, what everyone else is mostly saying. "Sez-in". Easy!

Re: Questions you've wondered about your fellow pwebbers
No difference... I just kinda forgot about the word "season" when I tried to think of how to say my name phonetically.I've always pronounced it "Season."
"Season" and "seize-in" sound the same in my Californian accent! What's the difference? haha
EDIT: Then again, maybe other people don't pronounce "season" with an "in".

I thought I was being overly weird for saying it that way. I might still be but at least I'm not alone.

Do you pronounce everything in a snooty French way?! Because if not, you totally should.

Re: Questions you've wondered about your fellow pwebbers
Reading this thread from the bottom up, I was under the impression that Alea was pronouncing the word "season" as "say-zahn".

I like this pronunciation better than my way. I'm officially changing it. ('-' )I am going to continue the Frenchy way I say it: Say-zahn.
From here on out, my name is pronounced Say Zahn. So it was written, so it shall be done.

Just so as I can avoid any potential confusion, I'm going to preemptively answer that question. It's "New-dull"
Also, all this talk of "say-zahn" is making me thirsty. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saison" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

For me, it depends on how quickly I'm talking, but I say both seize-un and seize-in.I've always pronounced it "Season."
"Season" and "seize-in" sound the same in my Californian accent! What's the difference? haha
There goes my "Chezzen"No difference... I just kinda forgot about the word "season" when I tried to think of how to say my name phonetically.I've always pronounced it "Season."

Erica, did your mom call into Slacker and Steve at around 3:30pm today? It really seemed like it was her.

My totally undiagnosed inner dyslexia made me pronounce it "theneth" (th as in think). I only realized it now.

Re: Questions you've wondered about your fellow pwebbers
The name was what I believe to be your mom's name (from what I've seen on fb) and she was talking about what it was like to be the family member of a victim. (Slacker and Steve were talking about things relating to Jessica Ridgeway.) The things she mentioned seemed so familiar from your sister's story that I thought it had to be your mom. But then, there are a lot of sick, sick people in the world that the story could have belonged to someone else.

Re: Questions you've wondered about your fellow pwebbers
It could very well have been her, she has called in to Slacker and Steve on at least three other occasions, I would not be surprised if it was her. Now I'm curious, I'll go ask...

Thanks for finding out for me! I've been thinking about it ever since and wondering if it was really her.
